I myself am a desktop person, I've never been a fan of laptops and I don't even own an iPad.

I will use my iPhone or another desktop.
I have used a laptop a few times, but I always make sure I have a mouse.

If you use iPhone for net access when traveling , might as well invest in an iPad xxx

Bigger screen , much more pleasant than tiny-screen of iPhone xxx

*depends on your kinda traveling though : if it's hotel room to hotel room , sure hop from pc to pc , and close the gap w iPhone x

But if you travel farther afield , you may (I do) find iPhone insufficient , and there ain't no laptops where I'm traveling to x

The only travelling I really do is visiting friends, family or if I'm ever lucky enough, another woman's place.
An iPad could be something I may invest in, in the near future, but for now I will do without as I can't really afford one at the moment.

My choice too would be a desktop.
A desktop is a cheaper computer, with a bigger monitor and better keyboard. It is easier to upgrade and repair.
Difficult to justify a laptop or ipad, unless you have to carry it about with you.

Another reason why I'm a desktop person.
Upgrading desktops are much easier and cheaper, but I am also a gamer, laptops are not really the best things to use.
