The weather has got colder since I got here, so I'm a tad worried about the return. I would ask for help with the route, but I'd get banned discussing it.
can you not stay put until it clears, some roads are very dangerous and theres a tight frost tonight again

No I have a club that I attend on Wednesday evenings and I love it and I had to miss it last Week due to studying, so no way I'm missing it this Week.

Does it help if you drive really slowly over ice? If the wheels start to slide is it best to go with it or turn the wheel in the opposite direction?

I do have AA cover, thank God!

I drive to Letterkenny sometimes and I don't mind the drive there too much, but going home I always seem to get stuck behind a slow vehicle and it's really hard to over take on the small country roads. I think that is the biggest problem.

Also during the day driving is quite nice if you are not in a rush, as it's quite picturesque, but if you are driving at night or time is an issue, then I can see how it can be a pain in the neck, as I have felt that frustration myself.

Kate, I find that in Ireland we tend to be more laid back and relaxed than other countries specially England where road rage is on the increase

Am I missing something here? The post quoted seems to be just the usual banter between Clyde & anon361, I dou if anything personal was meant by it,,,if it's his previous posts on this thread,,,ok may be bad taste but again it's the usual tit for tat,,,I didn't think anyone paid any notice to,,,just a ban seems a little harsh, no?

No, I don't think so, considering that it's not exactly the first time. Of course, you are entitled to feel that this is harsh, but the whole mod team is in agreement with this decision.
