I'm not usually a fan of Ian O'Doherty. I find his articles to sometimes be over-confrontational and to be honest
I think he stirs-shit up just to see if he gets a reaction.
Having said that tho, its hard to argue with the man when he's arguing in favor of something you agree with
like my right to choose to pay another consenting adult for services which can include sex.
Or the right of a consenting adult to sell such services.
And unfortunately I don't believe this article will be taken seriously by any major groups, except maybe Ruhama
who will have something to say to Mr O'Doherty in a follow-up article, I'm sure.
I found it funny how he even tried to rope in the feminist movement into supporting his stance with the
'Don't ye believe in yer right to choose anymore' arguement.
This is the same group he has had a very strained relationship with, due to his opinions about women's lib.
Still you've got to applaud the man for being ballie enough to write this article in the first place
IF AT FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED, TRY AND TRY.......AH F**K IT, I GIVE UP

Ian O'Doherty has a future. He's the type of Journalist that is of use to the public who pay him.
He questions authority, he has a common sense approach. This new approach will be necessary
for politics too. It will be serve the public, or >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Good article which will be completely ignored by our beloved leaders because facts aren't really their thing.

Always interesting to see that the majority of comments below these type of articles are in favour of sex work and legalislation. Seems the only people that are fooled are the ones we elected. Work that one out.
    2014 in Northern Ireland:

Number of reported attacks on sex workers 70

Number of sex trafficking cases ZERO

Well if we kept tighter controls on visa,s for people outside of EU and borders, we might have a better chance of stopping human trafficking, criminalising paying for sex will only drive it underground and in to the hands of criminals.
That,s what I believe he was implying and that,s what I believe will happen

I do not agree. While it seems a good theory it is not practical.
