Funny in the sense that Irish Water could be classified as a bad joke if it wasn`t so inept, corrupt and expensive.
According to Irish Water`s figures (and from past experiences we know how accurate Irish Water`s figures are lol), 51% of
households they deem liable have returned forms.
Can you tell me how this figure, and assuming that all of them will send a cheque, will achieve the 271 million Irish Water need to pass the Eurostat test?????
An aside, but on a straight line 10% depreciation you do realise that whatever they get 58 million is going towards Uncle Denis`s water meters that in all likliehood will never be used, but which Irish Water seem to have a bigger priority in burying than fixing leaks.
The whole exercise has been corrupt and a shambles from the outset, and not one I`m prepared to finance.

There have been a number of judges that have messed up the whole private speed camera issue, so I wouldn`t be too confident if I was the government on hoping for good will of the judicary to change the legal terms of contracts.
If that ever becomes law, I`m going to assume you owe me 200 Euro, so I`ll contact you then to forward it to the escort of my choice, and if you do not, I`ll see you in court.

Practically all the leaks are from the mains. Irish Water have said so themselves. You don`t need meters on every house at a cost of 580 million Euro to find them.Really, all household meters will tell you is if there is a leak between the mains and your house.
For leak detection of the mains, they are as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike.
