A lady always loves the Tribute being handed over preferably in a Pink or White envelope
Never a brown envelope
That's the way to do it. You shouldn't force the Lady to ask for the donation, have it ready in an unsealed white envelope and either give it to her or put it down where she can see it as soon as possible.
As Zilch said there is something about handing over cash, it's just not classy in my opinion.
Always use a white envelope. Never brown.
Would have to agree with Zich and Klittyliker that I would feel uncomfortable just handing over the money. Had to do so before as was in a hurry to be on time for visit. It didn't feel correct and it felt like a cold financial transaction to do so. I apologised to the lady for having to do so.

Different ladies have different attitudes- some don't like to acknowlege that money is involved so you don't even hand the envelope to them, you just put it down in plain sight.
I can't immagine starting to count out notes in front of them, seems a bit.... .
Bringing an envelope is just like bringing flowers
