Dogs, I use to take the parents dog, a westie out for walks in the park, (great method for picking girls up too) the girls would just stop and say OMG you're so cute, they of course liked the dog too

    Dogs for me.

I don't trust cats, with their little evil minds.

Dogs are almost always happy, friendly, fun & loveable.

Anyways cats hate me, dogs love me.

If I accidently hit a dog with my car I'd be upset, a cat, wouldn't intentionally hit one either but wouldn't in the slightest give a damn other than better not have damaged my car, walking vermin, just sorry you can get rat traps big enough for them.

I grew up mainly with Dogs, so they'd be my choice. There's no way I'd keep one now since I live in an urban setting with no land around it, the dog would have no place to run around, it just wouldn't be fair on him/her.

Definitely a cat - I've lived with both because they belonged to housemates but the dogs really did my head in. They're just so needy. One dog kept on wanting to play fetch with me "all the time" - it kept scratching at the door to play and used my slipper and my cushions as fe5tch toys, tip over the bins, crawl on top of me on the couch to play fetch. Cat was great - we just ignored each other while he slept on my bed. But then again - none of the animals were mine per say so explains my lack of enthusiasm to play with them.

Both for me but I prefer dogs. To the people who say cats are sneaky, how many people are sneakier? I'll rest my case.

Never owned a cat so cannot say how cats are.
I love dogs and owned one, so for now I would choose a dog.
