I'm not sure if it's the same here in Ireland as in the UK, but if you visit a GUM clinic, your records & history are stored in the GUM clinic only, they are not shared with your GP & destroyed after 3 months. Therefore your GUM medical records are not added to your GP's medical notes, which means you do not have to declare this info on insurance policies as no records are kept by your GP.

eh ignore all the 'advice' here. let your doctor do his job, hes doing the bloods let him get on with that and the diagnosis and then go for another appointment for the sti stuff as they only test what they are looking for, no harm in saying to him though 'can you take my bloods for the sti stuff while Im here?" as for fasting like I say ignore that unless the doc has told you to fast

The nerd in me wants to know why...

    I may Google it,

When I got my hep b it was over 6months but that was nearly ten years ago, but I still think its over that period as they must check your bloods to see if its gone into your blood
I do test the levels I have as it got 20year lifespan max,

Not in the Uk, no. They will give them to health workers and travellers too. The thing is if your GP doesn't know you are seeing escorts they probably won't offer it. Same with throat swabs. You need a full screen.

I know but different when youre sat before her, but how many men here actually tell them they do when asked and how long do the injections last for

I assume you would be sent to your doctor if you had HIV, every other STI is treated within the GUM clinic & your GUM medical records are not shared & destroyed after 3 months. It encourages people to attend the clinic.
