They could find a better looking actress for this type of movie/subject.

Enjoyed Melancholia, but Nymphomaniac wasn't my thing, and I consider myself a movie snob, can't stand mainstream films, but love french and independent...etc.

I'd agree with you self obsessed is the right word to describe him

he is too gratuitous with elements in his films. reminds me of welles in that he starts throwing in anything to make himself look cool, but at the expense of a good film.

some of his films im thinking would be great and then he puts in some messed up thing that changes the tone.

While I was reading you post Woody Allen came to my mind, the sort of must, that he has to make a new movie each year, is kinda like similar, well for me of course

He's great with awesome films, but lately, no words to describe, how can someone with, Purple rose of Cairo, Midnight in Paris just to name few of my favorites create something like his latest Magic in the moonlight.....

speaking as a sex addict i found both movies very good, and very close to home, i am a man but also have a sex buddy who is a sex addict and it reminded me of her, i think the story line was fantastic it was shot well and it touches on some real issues and creates a really empathy for the main actress. all in all i would recommend it

Indeed. I was wondering what Iggy Pop was doing in it.
