I don’t believe this new law will be a bad thing really, not for me anyway,
I’m just an ordinary guy in my late twenties with a good job and a nice girlfriend.
I started punting about 2 1/2 years ago and really enjoy it but that was the problem I enjoyed it just too much. I met my current girlfriend about 18 months ago and although I slowed down with the visits to the escorts I didn’t stop, as we all know its very addictive.
I always said to myself over and over that I would stop and that this one would be my last even I wouldn’t travel very far anymore to meet them but problem was when a very attractive escort would come to my town I would eventually give in and give some excuse and meet her and again have a good time once more.
I care a lot for my girlfriend and feel like crap so this new law coming could be the kick up the backside I need to finally give it up for good, At times too it does get in the way of important things and you would just drop all and off you go and money that probably I should be spending on the home, I did not, I didn’t like the sneaking about or the lying to someone I care very much for now so when this new Law is passed (It will make me concentrate on whats really important and devote the time to those I love..) that will be me finished. Anyone else feel the same.

This may sound silly, but it's a long time since I was in Ireland.
    What new law?
Looks like I will never return if there is some stupid politican shoving his/her "morals" down our throats. I thought all the selfrighteous religious freaks left the Country and we had joined the civilised world!

You got to feel sorry for the devoted wife / Gf who looks after the children , looks after the home and generally looks after the man in most cases.
Escorts will not care as they don’t know you and its just business to them
Excuses will be made that isn't it better than having an affair and so on but it is still cheating and not really fair on the woman who's sat at home and we know it.
It has been a proven statistical fact that women cheat nearly as much (and as much and more in some countries) as men in their relationship.
The only difference is that a woman has only to ask to get laid while a man has to pay.
In the end this law will be discriminating men in more way than one.

I cant stop going to KFC and have put on some weight, maybe they should make buying fast food illegal too.

Or I could take responsibility for my own actions and realise adults can decide for themselves and dont need politicians pushing their puritanical morals on them.
maybe I don't have self control but when escorts are in the locality its difficult at present to say NO and everyone is different, there are others that feel the same way.

Cop on will you people who is slagging a guy for having a opinion that different from yours, everyone here is entitled to their opinions even though you may disagree with them...Some of those comments were uncalled for. It's an open public forum last time I checked. At least he's got the backbone to say how he feels and I'll respect him solely for that.

Having a different opinion and expressing it is one thing, but trying to enforce it on others is a completely different matter.
Welcoming laws that take away individual freedom for personal purpose is off course going to be met with confrontation.
    It is actually offensive!

I haven't read nor do I care about the new law. Can somebody give me a quick 'what would happen if caught" scenario?

I work full time and I've stopped trying to score birds on a nights out on the town. Too much hassle and I find this site too addictive and convenient. There's no having to bring your gf out, buy her things, pay for dinner etcetera

I usually use this site as my night out now. Once a week and can't stop. I need to go to one of those aa meetings!

Thats not how I read it, its an expression of an opinion and don't you realise there are some escorts on here that would welcome this new law too as its get rid of the opposition and means they can charge more. what your opinion on this then??????

He is talking about himself and we can't stop this law, its coming in whether you or me or him like it or not, but he is still entitled to his opinion without vile remarks being made,
