It's considerably more difficult, and potentially dangerous work than most people do.

People will talk about rent or travel, it's still a lot more than many people.

She is from the north of Ireland.....and I hope she does not have to go back to her old job earning a wage, which in the first case drove her into prostitutuon. (in my opinion)

She has a good life style.

I asked her did she feel vulnerable, working on her own.

Her answer was that she did feel vulnerable working in a shop,

which had been held up several times

There are also many sacrifices being made and living a double life due to the stigma and in some cases even the clients have a bad attitude towards Escorts and don't see them as human people with emotions and feelings. They assume it's all about the money and that is all that matters and we have to deal with this kind of attitude day in, day out.

We get calls from complete strangers harassing us and saying nasty things to try and put us down and feel bad about what we do or how we do our work. We're not allowed to have relationships and if we do have them you have to keep quiet, because clients don't like to think of you as being with someone you care about and the general public automatically assume he's a pimp or a wimp. We're not meant to have a life beyond work.

Only Yesterday I had a call off a guy asking me to see him in his Hotel. I told him I was not working and I had friends coming round. His reply was, 'don't you want to make some money?' He actually thought I would drop my friends and plans for money, because my life doesn't matter.

Another one I said I was taking the day off to spend with friends offered me champagne and 'other fun things' if I would see him.

Not sure exactly what he meant, but again he must have thought his offer was better than me spending time having a regular day off.

God bless the ones who just thank me for getting back to them and saying they will be in touch another time.

Escorting as a career choice is an interesting one- most women in the general population are anti escorts and think of them as carriers of STDs etc- many men think this way also .
We all here consider ourselves more aware of the lives of escorts ( through our limited interaction with them)
However we post our support here but if we are out in a pub or at dinner with other females or couples how many of us support escorts when the subject arises- I wonder - I myself will not denounce them in any way but I can't see myself extolling their virtues without revealing my hidden life.

After all that all I am saying is that it is difficult to take on the job as there is a certain stigma attached- this may have reduced in recent years but it is still there!

That a good point - lots of professions have stigmas these days- politicians, the church to mention two!

That isn't true and you know it. Kaz I've worked most of my life in 'other jobs' and well qualified too. I have never had a job that totally absorbs every aspect of your life before and it is absolutely draining. Even with all that there is no guarantee of a good wage at the end of it, as other Escorts bring down their prices lower and lower and the competition in numbers gets greater and greater.

There are many jobs that pay equally well and better, but no one begrudges them their wage. Why is that do you think?

If you call out an electrician, a plumber or you need a lawyer you will get stung. Even getting locks changed can cost a fortune if it's the Weekend or at night. People in other professions make damn good money and yet you come on here and complain that Escorts earn too much. I wonder, would your life be richer if it was not for Escorts? Did you not benefit from the service provided. Why do you book long bookings if you resent the cost?

Maybe also read my blog about Sophie's story. She is real, someone I know and she was not earning 'easily' and couldn't afford a taxi to go meet Ruhama for help.

What about the girls that have been assaulted, or had so many time wasters, they feel beaten and unable to pick up the phone any more? Where is this money coming from if it is so 'easy'?

Stop talking about things you haven't considered through and listen for a change instead of making assumptions.

Haha, if you only knew how often I had wished I had a tardis. That drive from Belfast to Cork is a killer!

That stigma is about to up the anti again. You wait until June and see how that goes.
