Texts = Timewasters generally in my opinion. I clearly list I don't answer texts & to respect this yet some guys still have the cheek to text, why? A blatantly disrespectful act. If it's someone I know I will let them know it's ok to text me, but for anyone else, it's a non starter. Years ago, we all had to phone, it worked perfectly well. I also don't prescribe to the 'I'm in work & can't ring at the moment' club, this is bullshit, everyone has tea breaks, lunch hours & has to commute to work, there's always opportunities to make a phone call.

I respond to some text messages, depending on how they are composed.

If your polite, well mannered and aren't using text speak then I will reply to you. If its something like " U avl" or "when you free" "how much" then those sorts of messages are ignored.

I don't mind texts, but its the one who send millions of them, you only need to send a few to arrange an appointment/suitable time to call about an appointment.
