I always put it up on the 6th December - growing I was told it was bad luck to put it up before then. I am silly superstitious in that way (I don't walk under ladders for the same reason!)

I do not put up Christmas tree in my own place. I spend most time with my family.

I put up my decorations when I have time to do so...now, sitting in warm florida, with my tree up and lights beaming outside onto the balcony, I see the golf carts streaming by, admiring the festive lights and am delighted that my decorations not only bring a smile to my face but the the faces others. Christmas is a mind set,,,,to hope for the best and to view each other as simply small players in the world's history, but dependent on one another, I know , sounds corny but I do prefer to see the best in others, wishing you all the very best during this holiday season

    I'm sitting outside in the Irish dusk-probably about 40 degrees F/3 r 4 Centigrade
Not quite the same as warm Florida.
    Makes me jealous.
