i guess it's a bit like meals; here we are used to starters, mains and afters, with the emphasis on "main courses".
But have you ever been to Turkey? Meals are different there. There are lots and lots of starters, really things to enjoy and savour, to linger over and take your time. The main course is, by comparison to the "West", a rather feeble thing, a bit of a stew with no alternatives, but then the afters are again lots of things, all of them very sweet (almost a bit too sweet for me).
You know, I think these Turks are onto something!
