To the ladies defending the convicted rapist. I'm not having a go, but think about this.
In general you wouldn't defend this type of behaviour, right? But you think she's one of these slappers that hangs around footballers looking for one night stands and maybe to get famous, or even a rich husband. Is that your opinion of the girl? If so be honest, because we all know there's many girls like that. But having read all the reports available, she wasn't that.
Here's what I think should be Hintergendanken to escorts. Let's say if an escort was raped in this way. Say on call out with one guy and then his friend sneaks in afterwards and rapes her. Do you think she'd get much public sympathy? I think many wouldn't even report it, because of the "what did she expect brigade" and the others would say "whore". What would you think then?

The theory he might be innocent could be applied to ANYONE convicted of ANY crime from theft to pedophilia and traffic offences to murder; if you're found guilty beyond reasonable doubt in a court of law and then denied an appeal on insufficient grounds that does indicate guilt in my book anyway.

Consider the recent case in Ireland, where a "businessman " got a fairly light sentence, which was overturned (rightly) on appeal. To rape someone is a vile act, no excuses. A lot of footballers and people of "influence" believe they are above the law. So no he should be not allowed to play again, that would sent out a powerful message.
