There was one time I got asked to leave a Hotel by the Garda when I was meeting an escort there.
One Garda (female) in particular really had a go at the escort, and to be fair, the escort gave as good as she got.
What she (the Garda) was complaining about was that she was a foreigner and not that she was an escort. It got so bad that one of her colleagues had to subtly suggest that she tone down her language.
I have often thought that part of the problem with escorts in this country is that a lot of them are "foreign". I lot of people think we didn't have sex in this country until they arrived.

As far as I know, it is illegal to knowingly let a property out for the purposes of prostitution. That's what they would have got him on.

Yes, but that's the crux, if he could realistically say he was just sub letting then the only way to convict him would be if they actually caught him there. Otherwise you would just have no case.

In the absence of such a schmuck my dear one would hope the ability to make no comment would be useful. Apparently not. People who make statements usually incriminate themselves. Let your solicitor do the talking.

How did they prove the " knowingly "
    or did he admit it.
Seems to me he struck a deal.
A guilty plea for a lesser charge and no jail time.
I am who I am and I am happy with who I am.

The answer is in the first post; he admitted it.

He should have pleaded not guilty and taken it to court. Unless of course he couldn't. It's interesting how it's usually the foreign nationals who plead guilty, I suspect they aren't given access to full legal advice or opt not to take it.
