Sweetie I was a lot younger and just met a guy I didnt know who was just so sweet and adorable to me hence why I stayed with him and yes even before the honeymoon sweet was booked but just goes to show how life has its good Kalma. I am sure you will get some to honey. Plus a day like that again I would do that all over again for less, Jesus back then I know nothing about this business as I very new to it even now, well in some ways. Loll

    All the best honey

Doing that again for Christmas with someone you really click with would be a blast and one, no one would forget.

So is anyone going away for Christmas or doing something different to what they normally do, if so what will you be doing this festive season and with how and why?

If you could plan your perfect Christmas where would it be and with who? Has anyone spent Christmas day with a escort?

    Merry Christmas

I will be at the Salvation Army, getting the pets present ready first then picking up the oldie marvels from their homes to take to the centre. The average age is around 80 and we have a gorgeous time. If you haven't got plans this Christmas volunteer at your local shelter, it's bliss.

I think I have done my fair share of care work, 10 years of it with the elderly, some work in the high security lock up ward for the mentally ill, working with children then the last thing was due to my history in this care work my best mate asked me( who told him there was something wrong) then 2 weeks later he call to ask me to look after him for the remaining 6 months of his life and the only weekend I did take off, he passed away and I was not there for him, I am still gutted 10 years later.
Well done you Lucy, shame others can’t find the same inspiration and a shame so many complained about their lives instead of helping themselves or other. But you never know honey as someone might respond here and offer a little help to other likes you are doing this Christmas.

    All the very best

Um, serious. Sorry I really like doing it, it's a really good way to say thank you to the world and thank you to the people who attend. I especially enjoy the end, where the people who attend get to take presents for their pets and a little something for themselves.

ffs Lucy you just reminded me why I should read the whole thread before posting! Feel like a right twat now ffs

Love what you do, thats admiral & more should do the same. I dont feel too guilty about my selfish indulgence of getting trashed because I do as much as I can for those in need all year round so hope that my selfishness at Xmas is acceptable! I will add as I do most winters especially, when I can, I help to give, food, coats, warm clothes & blankets/sleeping bags to the homeless.

aw fuck the previous part of this post is true but makes me realise that actually at xmas time is when those in need, need more than coats & blankets, they need human contact be it a hug, an understanding smile or a sympathetic ear!

Damn you woman but thank you because it puts things in perspective for me. I shall endeavor to do more & give more of myself as well as things that are needed this year x

It's not about feeling guilty, I'm sure you shouldn't. I have no children, and since I've started to lose people it gives me comfort to be there doing something for someone. If you fancy doing something different this year give them a call, they need help on Christmas Eve to pack the pet bags, help on Christmas Day to pick up the oldies and bring them to the hall and lastly they need people to help cook. I used to do the soup kitchen but that's stopped in my area, it's parcels instead now. If you don't feel like doing anything at all then you could just put together a parcel. I can honestly say it's a giggle.
