I'll review the report later, just to try to maintain a semblance of impartiality, but I approach everything from Ruhama with a great deal of scepticism.
If some of their past "findings" and reports were to be believed-- or in any way realistic-- then we would have to believe that there are women locked in basements, tied to beds and chained to radiators and being forced to have sex with a dozen men a day in practically every town in Ireland with a population over 10,000 people. I don't need to tell anyone that such a thing is absurd, any reasonable person should be able to come to that conclusion themselves.
And just as a reminder, it has been suggested here before that at least some of the women who claim to have been trafficked have been coached into making the claims, or have falsely used such a claim to avoid deportation, as the government has been shown to grant residency status to those who claim to have been trafficked. I'm not saying that all such claims are FALSE, only that the benefit of the doubt, no matter how far-fetched the claim might be, is typically granted to the claimant, even if the claims remain totally unsubstantiated upon investigation.
