All of my friends rental price went up, few of them even had to leave after long years, as they weren't able to afford 200e increase form their minimum wage.

Must be hard loosing a job, but yet again what about those who work hard during the christmas period, and won't get anything?!
Actually it's quite high compared to the UK, Northern Ireland rate is just €73 per week when converted to €, no bonus while I believe it's €188 plus bonus here, that's quite a difference, minimum wage NI at present is only £5.13 and when I first started working in a shop few years ago to pay for my college fees it was only £3.72. That's Bad..

    Cool realism

*it can be very difficult to get a job for some
*so many regulations which discourage any entrepreneurship
*dependency culture has become more socially acceptable and competes with low paid jobs
*a guy frustrated by job hunting may need to shoot his load too?

The money you spend on things you don't need should given to other unemployed people who are struggling to feed their children.

It's so easy for spongers like you to blame the economic climate for your own laziness and total lack of civic responsibility. FYI three interviews in three months is nothing to boast about.
im blaming no one,you sound to me like a man who made some poor decisions in the celtic tiger and paying for it now...you have no argument everyone has disposable income no matter where there at..

Could you please re-read my posts and quote me on where I said that people on social welfare should not get a bonus?? You won't be able to because I never said that. My problem is with people getting it when they obviously don't need it and then spending it on escorts when that money could go to feed children who will go hungry this Christmas with or without their families 'bonus'.

And believe me I know better than most about living hand to mouth. I've been employed every day of my life since I was 12 years old and have run my own business for the last 25 years (since I was 21) despite having very little formal education. At the peak I had 10 men working for me but I never took a penny from them in reduced wages until I had taken a hit myself first. Over the last few years I had to let 5 of them go but I am proud to say I gave every one their jobs back when things started looking up in our trade (building) again.

So believe me I know all about hard times and struggling. It sickens me to see an attitude like that guy is displaying. It's no wonder he can't find work if that's his outlook.

Actually you couldn't be more wrong. Unlike most of my contemporaries I managed to keep a building firm afloat when they ran for the hills with money they could scavenge by cheating their employees out of a fair redundancy package. I only let people go when I had no other option and every one of them got a more than fair redundancy. So much so that it nearly bankrupted me. And every one of them came back to me when I offered them their jobs back. They even left other jobs to do so. Right now I'm glad to say we as a company are doing very well.

So in actual fact I am quite proud of how I conducted my dealings after the collapse of the economy.

Absolutely not. I would never employ anyone that would be so dishonest as to basically steal like that. Or someone so lacking in basic moral fibre that they would take a handout they don't need and which could be better used to feed a hungry child.
