Question relationships between fathers and childrens

Today went to get my coffee and while I was waiting for the nice lady to get my coffee I couldn't notice a father with his sun having their breakfast but was strange was that they didn't speak to eachother

Is it something that goes on normally?

I remember my father when I was younger ,we had so much to talk about and had great fun together

Are we forgetting how to build up/mantain a relationship with our families?

How is your relationship with you father?

And most importantly how is your relationship with your kids?

Is it more difficult this days to have a lovely relationship with your parents/kids?

Forgot your in the west now. I think you,ll find that men and sons are not as close here as in Dublin.
90 % of sons and dads don,t get on but fathers and daughter its different, don,t fuck with daddy,s girl here, dads are very protective of them.
mothers and daughters will fight like cats and dogs,

For me it is simple , here is how I would answer it. When my father dies i will be neutral, When my Mother dies I will be relieved and perhaps happy. Unfortunately "Parents " are not all the same, some are great I know a few. Two v good friends lost Parents recently and they had a wonderful relationship with them, naturally it has been tough on both. A tiny tiny silver limning on my cloud when mine die it will be "whatever" and good.

me and my dad will talk but not much ,

me and my mother do more talking

as willie whacker said irish dont have much bond with father , maybe because the father in irish history has been the provider and was at work all day ( i know this has changed lately this was when i was growing up)

and ive no kids but if i had kids they would be priority number 1 , and would like to have a great realationship with them

Had a great relationship with my Dad. Plenty in common and he was always there to offer advice. Passed away well over a decade ago now but couldn't have asked any more from him.

I had good relationship with my parents as long as they've believed, I will fullfill their own dreams, and I will do things, they couldn't do themselves. It all end up, when I have told them eventually directly: No, I am not doing Masters, and: No, I am not going to settle for the sake of being in a relationship. I have asked them: Are you going to love me less, if I don't get the degree, or do you really wanna see me unhappy but married?
I never got any answer and since then we are just OK.

I am sure they still love you ...just a bit dissapointed I guess

I haven't fulfilled my parents dreams either...we have some arguing sometimes but I know deep inside they still love me no matter what
