thought everyone suffered from these especially in the teenage years, know a few mature students too in their late thirties who suffer from bad acne and can be so demoralising so you're lucky ,

I've never had bad acne or anything but when I was a teenager, I used to get spots on my chin and it really did used to upset me so my doctor put my on antibiotics that you stay on for as long as it takes, as a female you cannot get pregnant while on them because it can cause major, major disabilities and problems for your baby. I am not sure if men are suppose to take precautions not to get anyone pregnant while on the pills or not.

They can also cause liver problems but they say you'll soon know because your skin will go yellow (dunno how to spell the actual word for it) they also check your blood when your on it to make sure your ok.

So basically what I am saying, is that it's a very strong drug and probably isn't just handed out unless you really appear to be affected by spots but it definitely does work, it took all my spots away and they have stayed away.

Another bad thing is, despite me having clear skin now......if I indulge in fizzy drinks then it gives me a break out so if you drink lots of fizzy drinks then stop completely and drink water or diluting squash. I only have a glass of coke as a treat every now and then and it's ok but if I drink it all the time then my skin really suffers.

So if you drink fizzy drinks then try my suggestion first, give it 3-4 weeks and if nothing then go to the doctors and ask about those pills. I don't know what they are called but if you explain what I've said then they should know what they are.

    xx
