I think this is the whole reason why I've had so much hassle on this board from day one if I do say so myself.

If any of the escorts from Ireland wanted to visit Glasgow then i would help give them advice on where they can stay, rates and what not.....not drive them out or bully them not into coming because I am confident in my work that my clients will return to me even if they do indulge every now and again on the new hot touring girl. In other words, there's plenty to go around.

I like 'desist', it's concise and sounds good. Your alternatives require two or more words to confer the same meaning - yes, you forgot the 'from' - it would have to be 'refrain from' and I've been accused once or twice before if being long-winded. I just can't please all the people........
