is it not the case though Patricia, that you are taking advertisements from agency owners like the one arrested in Wales who are well known to be, if not trafficking women, certainly harming them and threatening others? You may not condone it but are you not advertising it? Do you not think you should take a stand and distance your website from people who are known to mistreat women?

I'd love to distance this website from anyone who is trafficking women, but prey tell how can I do that, when it is virtually always guaranteed that I can't possibly know who is trafficked and who is not?

We do all we can to combat trafficking here. We have a couple of successful tactics for spotting possibly trafficked women. I can't discuss them here, because if I did they'd no longer work. If we suspect trafficking, we call the police.

I'm sorry we can't spot every single possible case of trafficking for you, but we can't. You tell me, what more can I do?

The only other thing we have up our sleeve regards trafficking is that we plan to increase the number of notices on this website advising clients to call the police if they suspect trafficking to basically one on nearly every page.

Whilst we are on the subject of trafficking / exploitation, a little tale for you all...

Recently we received some complaints from escorts about a user of this message board. We were told he was exploiting and abusing escorts. Multiple independent escorts, including respected and well-known independents, contacted us independently with stories about this gentleman exploiting them when they first started out in the business.

We investigated this matter and we found evidence to suggest he is a pimp. Specifically we found he had multiple ids on this message board where he claimed to be an escort client and yet his IP had also submitted several escort ad forms to us. Why would a genuine client be submitting all these escort advert forms to us to we wondered, and they were all for girls of a certain Eastern European nationality also?

So, we decided to warn ladies in the private forum that this message board user may be dangerous. We also published several mobile numbers he is known to use.

Then passes a few days until today, when obviously our friend learned there was a warning about him in the private forum. The warning has now had to come down as we can't leave warnings up once someone complains about them unless we have absolute proof they are totally correct, something we can basically never have until someone is convicted of a crime in a court.

I've now had a load of complaints about this. Complaints from the person in question, plus complaints from other clients who he has obviously contacted and asked to complain to me also. In fact at least one person giving out to me on this thread that I don't do enough about trafficking has been PMing me with the other hand telling me I can warn ladies about possibly dangerous people unless I have proof.

The moral of this story is that I can't win folks. At the same time as I'm being told I should do more to combat pimping on this site, I'm also being told I have no right to publish warnings about pimps unless I have absolute proof. You can't have your cake and eat it lads.

In all fairness ithink patricia is getting a bit of a hard time for sumthing thats out of her control how could she possibly identify all traffic'd girls unless she was to visit & inspect them all personally which is unrealistic, thers only so much e-i can do, if punters walked away that would put put a stop to it quicker than anything patricia could do but i'd say thats unrealistic for sum so all you can really do is use your discression... Think about it if there was no money in it people wouldnt do it but thers alot of money in it so why would they stop??? Punters are more to blame than e-i ever will be as even the trafficers know how to make websites

I wasnt blaming u , i merely pointing out the fact that these pimps have to advertise their ladies somewhere.

As u are aware , there are two main sites that advertise ladies in ireland. This one and iie
I am frequent both sites regurlarly and as u well know the other site doesnt really advertise agencies as independents ( im not saying they dont but it is very rare).
Where as over here it is much more frequent.

Anyway my point is this ....it has been pointed on numerous occasions to up that there alot of pimps /agencies advertising as independents (same phone no,location etc).

And even u must agree that a well established independent escorts are very unlikely to be trafficked. So it must be some of the agency ones pretending to be independents are been trafficked (not it all cases but in some ).

Ok I know u have a business to run, but if you put systems in place for vetting this adverts , it might help the trafficking of girls in a small way. I know u might create a loss of revenue but at least u can say u a doing ure part.

I believe that this trafficking thing is a load of rubbish. I have had about 100 visits to about 30 escorts over the last year. I enjoy getting to know them as much as sex. I have had to listen to many complaints about different things but none of these girls were duped into being there and none were looking for a way out. This whole "problem" is being created by the anti-prostitution brigade. I do not think that they even believe it themselves but in their mind the end justifies the means. I have asked this question before,has anyone ever come accross an escort who has been trafficked?
