Looking for some advice from ladies who might have used or have at their disposal the likes of pepper spray or a rape alarm. An escort friend of mine asked me for advice and I was not able to do so with any authority. She works usually in an apartment with good security on site but just wanted to know from me what is best.

Rape alarms are usually given out free by the sex work projects. Your friend, if she's in the North, should be able to obtain one from the project there.

Mace is classed as a firearm I believe, you can be arrested for having it. It would be up to her to assess that risk. Deep heat doesn't do much I'm afraid, try spraying it in your eye. A friend told me recently it makes your eyes red but not much else.

I would imagine the best tip is to take a self defence class. Good security on the apartment site goes a long way. Anything else is classified information, but if your friend should enquire in the ladies section I am sure lots of the ladies there can help further.
