    people will invariably find ways around it, albeit criminal. Even with the legislation for heroin and cocaine, you still have boats landing in the cork coast with kilos of product.

    The problem with making prostitution illegal is that it will still occur but in the murky underworld and not in full view of the police.

    The governement know full well that criminalizing it wont make it go away, but rather it will go where they cant see it. Do they want that? No. The gardai barely have money to put fuel in their tanks let alone try and tackle illegal prostitution.
