If I might add to the discussion by making a suggestion-- one that will hopefully even further refine the site and add to your endeavors to improve the use, accuracy, and overall functionality of the site...

Thanks Cable87, this is a great idea, but unfortunately there is one big problem with it - THE LAW.

Escorts charge for their time and companionship only. However, where an escort charges extra for a specific sexual service like OWO or Anal, the escort then becomes a prostitute, in the eyes of the law that is.

Legally we can only advertise escorts. We cannot advertise prostitutes. So, if we started doing as you suggested, we'd cross the line from being a legal site to being an illegal site, and I'm not prepared to do that, because, if I did, though I might get away with it (certainly there are other websites getting away with it) I might not... It could be the end of E-I and me jailed!

The only way we could ever do this is if we moved E-I and all of our staff into a jurisdiction where we could do it legally, e.g. The Netherlands perhaps I think. That's not out of the question for the future, but it is too big a move for now I think.

How about escorts phone numbers being in search engine?

I read somewhere before in a post from someone that the used to search for phone numbers but that the search engine had stopped finding them.

but if they were included in the search system it would make it all the easier for your admin staff to eliminate duplicate profiles and not so 'independent' escorts.

The site wide search engine is not under our control. It is Google site search. If Google chooses not to include a page, that's up to Google. This is the only downside to it, other than that it is the best site search tool going... Indeed all the big guys use it.

Our staff have access to another staff only search to try to find duplicate numbers. It is much better than Google could ever be for these purposes as it includes old adverts as well as just current ones. If our staff don't find a dupicate number it is because (a) They didn't look (probably due to lack of time) or (b) format mismatch. By format mistmatch I mean if the girl's number is written like "087 12 34 567" but we search for "087 1234567" no match will be found. This is why I try to get the staff to always keep phone numbers in the same format, however again, when they are crazy busy, they don't always do this. As you can see, we still need more staff! We are finally getting our new office next week, so hopefully we'll be in a position to hire more staff very soon now.

I can remember seeing in some of the Escort profiles, below their lists of 'Favourites', that they had voluntarily listed/mentioned extra costs for extra 'favourites'. I can understand and appreciate the fine line you have to walk when it comes to how certain things are characterised on the site in regards to following the law, and I certainly don't want our Queen in prison! I know this is why they're referred to as 'Favourites' and not 'services' by the site, and of course I can see based on your response how placing extra costs for certain 'Favourites' on the lists as I suggested could be construed as crossing the line indicated by the general disclaimer on every escort profile, about how the ladies "charge for their time and companionship only".


But is there any other possible solution? Anything else that could be done or required to reveal/expose 'hidden' costs in this way? I know it has to be one of the biggest/most frequent complaints you get, and I'm just hoping that something could be put in place to at least cut back on the practice, or perhaps encourage more Escorts to set their prices to an 'all-inclusive' list, even if that meant their 'basic' prices were set higher to reflect this fact. Because if a Punter can point out in a review that he paid a certain amount extra for this or that 'Favourite', and it's not seen as a violation of the law (not to mention the few Escort profiles I mentioned above where I've seen it), then certainly some other way can be found to bridge this gap. Keep the idea on the back-burner and see if we or anyone else out there can come up with a solution.

I dont believe that the price is the important issue. I think that it is about what to expect for the basic price and what "extras" are available. You need two categories, like "favourites" and say"can be tempted to try". Clients then know to enquire about the price of anything in the latter list.
