Thanks for the advice. We may be hard wired, but there are not many people in this world that have loved me, least of all men, so I don't trust my instincts. I know my Granddad loved me and I know my Son loves me, but that is kind of different, just a tad lol. Plus, it's not a case of even if the love is returned, it's a matter of, do I? Can I? Dare I? Should I?

It's not exactly an ideal situation.
Ya see love is not a emotion we can switch on and off ,its raw and amazing it can be so secure and at times hurt like hell , but when you find your soulmate its bliss .

If you have to question it, I don't think it's true love.
Have had maybe half a dozen serious relationships in my time, but can say I've only truly been in love once.

My definition of love is when you trust the other with your life. You would do anything for each other. When you love someone, you want nothing more than for them to be really happy- no matter what it takes because their needs come before your own. Love is giving someone the power to destroy you, and trusting them not to.

When you are with them, your heart races. When they touch you, you get butterflies in your stomach. When you kiss, it just takes your breath away.....
I'm not so sure. It took me until I was 31 to have an orgasm, because I didn't know what I was trying to achieve. So in the same way, unless you have felt it or experienced someone else loving you. How do you know that the feelings you are having are love? I am getting feelings I have never experienced before and I don't recognise them. They scare me if I'm honest. It's intense.

    You are right....

But it sounds like love to me......

I guess you make a good point Kate. I only realised those feelings as true love after experiencing them!
Now, everyone needs to experience those feeling at some point so, best of luck....

Anyone here been in serious love and if so, how did you feel?

This is a serious question, as to date I don't think I have ever been in love, so I don't really understand the way I'm feeling and I'm guessing you can feel a lot for someone, without actually being in love, but also, does it matter how well you know them? Can you love someone after a matter of Months or does it take years?

Kate, imagine that this person came to you tomorrow and said they were moving to Australia and that you would never see them again. Try to imagine how you would feel. If you feel that you cannot live without this person and would want to leave your life here to follow them then i think that would be a good indication that you are in love.

Naa, just curious about love like everybody else, there are those that go to dating sites to find love, there are those that come to EI (part time love) and then there are the rest

Mind you I am sure the girls here have broken a few hearts in their time and can probably tell when someone has fallen in love with them...

    Do share your story...
