Genuinely devastated by this great loss As a child of the 80's, my siblings and I grew up watching Robin Williams and his amazing acting, his brilliant comedy timing and his heart-felt messages behind his roles. May he rest in peace. :'(

I am truly very shocked that he committed suicide, all his successes, his wealth & fame, couldn't make him happy within himself. Such a talented, versatile actor, be it comedy, straight, voice overs or stand up, a talent of his magnitude is matched by only a few. RIP Robin Williams.

Agreed, he played a spectacular role in that film, different to his comedy archetype. He was very creepy in that film, and he portrayed such emotion.

A quote from one of his films seems quite poignant now

"suicide is a perminent solution to a temporary problem"

    RIP Robin Williams

I still can't get my head around of him being gone. Such a shame.

He should have been one of those actors growing old gracefully , invited to talk shows occasionally into his 80s ,

and still being able to pull off the odd 10mins skit.

    Sad.
One of the most underrated films of all time. Williams is brilliant, and it is also one of De Niro's finest performances yet it rarely gets mentioned

So sad. I am old enough to remember Mork and Mindy, (nanu, nanu). Was great in Good Morning Vietnam and Mrs. Doubtfire, and a short clip from Ellen de Generes, where he does about 18 accents in a minute, hilarious
