off topic, but jonny was the most devout perfectionist to the point that if he missed a kick, but won the match, he would be furious with himself. the same with ronnie o sullivan and xavi. I remeber reading a story about o sullivan winning a world championship and being depressed afterwards because he made a few errors in the final.

I know yea, he would try to make 20 kicks in a row and start over again if he missed one.
He also stated that he would stamp on his left foot as punishment if he ever missed.

ah yea wilkinson was the best outhalf i ever saw (i would rank him ahead of carter, marginally). Could drop goal of both feet. Brilliant pass as well and vision. Injuries really curtailed his career

Carter has the better all round game in my opinion.
Jonny was better at controlling the game though, which is the main role for a 10.
I would say they were equal, too tight to split.
