''A chief superintendent has been appointed to examine a bizarre case where a bag containing a computer and documents belonging to a garda was found in a brothel in Amsterdam.

The Sunday World can reveal that a senior officer is investigating the circumstances surrounding an apparent security breach, where the garda’s laptop ended up in a Dutch knocking shop.

Sources say that the madame of the brothel found a bag in her premises last month and opened it.

“It apparently contained a laptop, documents and also insignia that identified the owner as being a member of An Garda Siochana,” the source revealed yesterday.
