Could someone please explain to me why a question about a search for an English versus a British escort in the E-I database can turn into a debate about the nationality of people of Northern Ireland?

The original question was posted by an English person. I believe that person is listed as English (and is actually English unlike how some escorts list their nationality) in the database. If however you search for a British person this person will not show up in the results as they are listed as English. However we all know that being English also means that you are British, so it is quite conceivable that somebody searching the database could use the term "British" to encompass not only Scottish and Welsh but also English escorts. However should an Escort be listed as either Scottish Welsh or English they will not turn up within the search for a British escort. Only those listed as British will turn up in the search. The same would be true if you search for "English" you will not find someone who is listed as British in the search.

As far as I'm concerned the fact that the OP spotted this and highlighted it to ask what people search for to me was a good post.

Where I have the confusion is how such a question could yield an answer that involves the nationality of people of Northern Ireland.

What is even more confusing is that the thread then turned into a debate about the percentage of people within Northern Ireland who regard themselves as either British, Northern Irish or Irish?

While this may be a topic in itself I fail to see how it has any relevance on a search for an English, Scottish or Welsh escort or even a British escort?

Apart from the fact that the topic was never about Northern Ireland being part of Britain. The topic was about why the existing choices (N.Ireland is not one of them) are not linked and why have 'British' at all, if the UK Countries are itemised separately and if they aren't, why single out 'English' as an option?

In all honesty Kate, what % of guys do you think use that search facility?

They're not like women searching for online boutique or nearby hairdresser .... im sure they just dive straight in and search for something which tickles their fancy so to speak.. and if looking for U.k / English the majority just click on the U.k link...

To answer your question. I do use the search facility sometimes. And I mostly stay with Irish & british escorts. If I hold down the shift key(or is it the control key), I can search for multiple nationalities. I sometimes go Irish, Welsh and Scottish but I usually look at the English girls aswell.

I disagree. The IT department are not the physical end user. They created it, but it does not mean they are aware of all the pitfalls. You get that information through use and in this case the end user is generally the client.

No Abby, because that was not the point of the thread. I would only ask them if I felt there was a reason to and judging by the outcome of this thread there isn't one.

I'm not sure why you are impressing that I should do that, when I have already clearly explained that I was wanting to discuss the situation with the end user.

If there is some rule or policy that means I have done something wrong, then please show it to me, because as far as I'm concerned, I just asked a simple question and it's no big deal.
