    Default Alcohol Vs Sex Work

The statistics for alcohol abuse in Ireland are shocking by any standards:

88 deaths every month in Ireland are directly attributable to alcohol (that's 1056 a year).

Alcohol-related harms cost each tax payer in Ireland an estimated €3,318 a year.

There are 1,200 cases of cancer each year from alcohol in Ireland.

One in four deaths of young men aged 15-39 in Ireland is due to alcohol.

One in three road crash deaths is alcohol-related.

My question is this. Given these appalling figures, why is the relatively tiny and much less damaging issue of sex work given so much attention, hysteria and funding?
    2014 in Northern Ireland:

Number of reported attacks on sex workers 70

Number of sex trafficking cases ZERO

Of course the stats are correct, but keep in mind that all those people have paid far more taxes than ordinary citizens just by purchasing the booze to fuel their addiction, plus they tend to die younger before they can cash their pension.

Alcohol abuse is more a matter of public health than a financial burden to the state, and I am not even including the revenue generated by the industry.

That should be in Red imo. Funding . And organisations living off of that funding to 'fight' the righteous good fight against

immoral behaviour ( : socially unapproved sexual relations and joy , which they narrow-mindedly perceive to be a

threat to family ? And Family Values ? ) : They must perpetuate the 'problem' , lest their funding dries up.

And whoever might get hurt in the process be damned.

oh if they only knew how many marriages we {Escorts} hold together !!

Come on ! It's a much sexier subject to campaign against sex workers than against liver cirrhosis ; domestic violence

brought on by alcoholic behaviour ; families torn apart by alcoholics abusing their loved ones and killing themselves and

    others on a daily bases.

Surely , fighting against a few blissful orgasms is much more worthy !

Those organisations purposefully , cynically exaggerating any statistics available , to their own financial gain.

Will take time to turn the tide.

    But it will come xx

Back in the States we have MADD : Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

A social force to be reckoned with.

Perhaps Ireland could do with one similar xx

The government should not have any say on what consenting adults do. What business is it to them who has sex with who if it is between two adults who are the right age of consent.

This is the problem with big government who want to intervene in the daily life of its citizens. Tapping our phones, reading our e mails. Abusing our civil liberties as free people.
