I saw them many years ago in the ballroom in Dun Laoghaire. My ears didn't recover for about thirty six hours. (they had a special technique for placing the speakers to get further into your brain, that they worked out themselves) People looked down on them because what they did was supposedly simple. My answer to that was - try it. Compositionally, sure. But not nearly as easy as it seemed to play. Those guys found a sweet spot some between posturing and playfulness that was exceptional.

I never have been able to throw out my old bikers jacket. Their music had its day, the day ended. But for those who enjoyed it, was good.

Hard to believe they,re all dead now. Probably the best punk band ever from America .

Wow that is a shame. 'Sheena is a Punk Rocker' was one of the first singles I ever bought. Great band. RIP Tommy.
