Hi, I've just been on the phone to a girl that I had wanted to see for ages, but hadn't been able to before....but on the phone, she was ABSOLUTELY CONVINCED that I wasn't Irish! Im born and bred in Dublin, I have been told I sound American - never lived there, only been there twice for two days each time.

Sometimes this mobile phone communication goes bad, particularly when you are outdoors trying to talk over traffic and she is listening to figure out if your trouble or not.

I had already PMed her to, at the very least, apologise if I had done something wrong on the phone...she is actually very established on here, and has really good reputation, thats why I wanted to see her...

Its grand anyway, not a big deal, just going to feel a bit more self conscious the next time I call up a girl I was calling from indoors, thought it was quiet enough where I was calling from....I hope I don't sound dodgy, I'm pretty harmless ....I wonder if it would help in future to PM first to establish the connection before ringing?....also to warn them of my dodgy foreign accent!
