    Before each appointment you have , tire him out : take him for a run , or if he's small , play ball in the apt , etc.

    A tired doggie is less likely to act up.

    Also , establish a routine , so he knows what (a guest and him needing to be quiet) is coming up , before it happens.

    Also , make sure he is calm and quiet and relaxed before your Client arrives. Discourage any clients from interacting

    with him until after the appointment , so that will be his reward for behaving.

    I recommend a remote control training collar. Every time he barks zap him remotely from the bedroom. I have only used it on humans but, its designed for dogs, so it should work :-)

    I can bring my dog over and let them play and distract each other while their owners distract each other!! Fair deal!
