For me luxury is being so looked after that the cares of the world are completely forgotten...

There is a quiet little hilltop bar in Portugal that I discovered several years ago. Sitting there for the day with a bottle of decent wine and a good book is my idea of luxury

Reminds me of a time in Thailand , sitting in lotus all by myself on the beach in the evening time , somewhat removed

from the hustle and bustle of young climbers dining , drinking well behind me ;

: one of the most serene moments of my life.

(Then a local Thai came by and pointed out that I am sitting right under a coconut tree , and it may be best to move ...

Broke the moment. On the whole beach that spot was the perfect one .. :-)

Having the luxury to seek out locales that sooth your soul --- now that's priceless !! xx
