Don't suppose we could get a merge
What if "It's Raining Men" and 'Let the bodies hit the floor' are both about the same event but from different perspectives 🤔
"The Government is giving “active consideration” to addressing the issue of children who died many years ago in mother and baby homes."
"Active Consideration" ??
Is that like a thorough investigation , or a euphemism for 'will make do as if' we are investigating?
In incomprehension may be down to cultural differences. I do not understand what the above means?

What I find fascinating though,
Is the lack of Sovereignty those concerned show regarding all this.
It took a Jewish prohpet (heavily edited and absolutely nothing to do with Pauls' jelousy of Mary M) to tell them sex was wrong
An Italian kingdom to tell em how to deal with it all
A flawed Swedish Model to help them deal with the money making side of things
A New Fourth Reich to suggest maybe they see exactly how much money that side of things makes
And An American Outcry to go "NOO.STAHP." ( not that it'll do much good now)
Sometimes I feel that Ireland is the Virgin in the Dorm with several overbearing siblings all telling her what do to.
I mean yeah we roll our eyes and move on here cause "sure you can't complain." but goshdang it guys!!!
We can talk about Them all we like, but the hold of the Catholic Church is still tight and that as Irish folk is our Fault.
The apathy of the general public is like , just. Wow.Such Field. So real.
....y'all fill out that survey yet![]()

Fucking hell the kids were aged between 2 1/2 and 8 years old and they are calling for drug tests on the poor little kids body's .... How can people do this it's not human behaviour, fucking animals .... Makes my blood boil.
Who loves ya baby......!!
There's an excellent piece on the Guardian about this. Do read some of the comments—the occasional apologist tries vainly to 'argue' against the mainstream:
http://www.theguardian.com/commentis...atholic-church
"Like the Magdalene Laundries, where single women and girls were sent, the mother-and-baby homes were run by nuns but received State funding.
They acted as adoption agencies and in that capacity were overseen by the State.
Other mass graves exist in at least three other former homes across the country."
"Ms Corless said the bodies were buried in a sewage tank on the grounds and that some of the dead were as young as three months old."
"She also asked if drug trials had been carried out on the children." (!!!)
...Amnesty International, said: "The Irish Government must not view this and other cases as merely historic and beyond its human rights obligations."

"Let's not judge the past on our morals, then, but on the morals of the time. Was it OK, in mid-20th century Ireland, to throw the bodies of dead children into sewage tanks? Monaghan is really saying: "don't judge the past at all". But we must judge the past, because that is how we learn from it."
