It used to be 69 posts (for adult comedy value), but established users wanted to up the ante so make sure prolific posters accessed the established members lounge, so an extra 200 was added to the tally.

You will need 10 posts to be able to use the Private Message system and Thanks function and 269 posts to become established member re: references, hope this helps.

Have been able to use the PM system already with no posts. Do you mean messages that show up on another user's profile. Is it ten posts as well to be able use friend requests?thanks for your help

It was 200 posts in the old days of the Irish Punt.... but when we changed over to Euro the exchange rate made this 269....
