Unfortunately Cork Feminista did not leave TORL, but their reasoning was weak since they felt that they have just joined TORL they couldn't leave.

But otherwise it went very well - a lot of people were initially against us but changed their mind once they heard actual sex worker voices. There was one woman with a stupid question that because we were white, native speakers etc and then asked if our families knew. I wasn't entirely sure where she was going with that question as one of us is out and the other isn't so whatever the point she was trying to make it we defied it.

I did the student debate in Galway last night with 3 sex workers and pretty much nobody wanted to argument against us after we spoke except for 2 men using straw feminist arguments which was a bit awry. It's unfortunate that we have to out ourselves in the media to be taken seriously despite the devastating consequences that could for the sex workers and those around due to stigma.

I messaged Eve there - the conference is the 21st and 22nd June and I have offered to join her. From what I know of Cork Feminista, I imagine there wouldn't be photographers/television if we requested for them not to be there for the talk/debate.

I would have liked to have attended, but nevertheless, I'm glad it went well and that real Escorts are being heard in some small capacity and getting the message across. Well done.
