I'd like to think that I understand the reasons for pay-in-advance—and I always do—but isn't it odd, that full payment is required before you know what you're getting? You might have to pay a lawyer something in advance, a sort of deposit to show your bona fides, but you don't normally have to pay upfront for the totally of the services. It's quite understandable, but it's something that makes escorting quite different from other professions—where a profession is defined as a service that isn't paid on the basis of the hours worked, which would be "salaried" or "wage earning". (And the other thing that makes escorting unusual amongst the professions is the legal requirement to work alone.)
