HPV will im a decade or so be a thing of the past, due to immunization in girls, although not in the male gay community, as boys are not offered the immunization as it is offered as prevention to cancer in girls and not for STI prevention. Sorry Kate, should have read HSV or herpes. Both type 1 and 2 can cause both genital and oral disease. The problem with it is it is shed by the skin and mucosa when there is no cold sore or obvious herpes. So a client who looks clean and lesion free could give you herpes. Which as you know would be a painful and recurrent problem. Point taken re hpv, but as yet it is a problem which hasn't been solved and the immunisation program covers only 2 strains if the virus ( not the ones for genital warts). Syphilis is on the rise, ESP with men who have sex with men, but that can include your clients: syphilis gives non painful ulcers orally, theses lesions are not always obvious and can pass the infection on efficiently. Oral chlamydia is largely a symptomatic. Oral gonorrhea usually will cause some form of septic throat but not always. HIV is an insignificant risk.
In sort: I don't think the risk of oral sex is insignificant esp if regularly performed. From an escorts point of view I would be most concerned with Hsv as it's a recurrent bitch of a problem and your clients could unbeknown to them give it to you with oral sex

Actually many clinics in Ireland are using the quadrilant version of the vaccine so 4 types of HPV, including the two that cause genital warts are covered.
