Coincidentally a lovely friendly lady from here recently invited me to stay in her house she has on Cape Verde! what an honour genuinely chuffed!

A 9 hour flight an I’m not great with that or the heat but how can I refuse so hoping to make the trip November or December this year?!

Yes the volcanic archipelago, looks incredible what you imagine paradise be.
when she said the Canary Islands I thought no bother.… a couple of hours on the flight and sorted done?!
But nooooo… How wrong I was. 9+hour connecting flights as theres no direct flights.

So much to see and explore but I’d be really interested in the geology, volcanic and topography aspect of the islands more so than any tourist spots.🌋

There’s direct flights from London with TUI : you have to be kinda clever on their website

buying your ticket as they don’t cater to Irish market .

I couldn’t book the flight on my own - my iPad was locked out , had to ask a UK friend .

But there’s direct flights .
