    Default Feminism and power

Found this image earlier on it in day... as funny as it is, it is quite thought provoking too:

Feminism has been an issue for hundreds of years and these days we have gender equality policies all over the world. Of course, many countries are still very patriarchal for cultural, religious and even Marxist reasons, and that said, even in England where political correctness is completely over the top, women are still having to fight for equal pay.

I heard on the news this morning that girl guide groups in the UK will be promoting the 'Body Confidence Badge' in a bid to boost self-esteem in young girls:

I have seen on Facebook that women are now taking 'no make-up selfies' to raise money for various charities (mainly breast cancer research); there have even been a few guys putting make-up on for the cause:

In the game of punting, women may appear to be empowered because they are these sex goddesses that make the whims and fantasies of men come true, however, who really has the power? We often hear about spiteful clients telling escorts that they will deliberately leave a bad review if they don't get their own way, but then again, are women taking advantage of men by luring them into their apartments under false pretences? Obviously both things are happening, and quite often from what we see in the mods team!

Do women here find it difficult to co-exist within a community where a) they are trying to establish relationships with clients and b) have to be a 'strong voice' on the forums so that people don't walk all over them and to outdo the competition? Is empowerment in women still an illusion? Do men have less to worry about than women?

    I'm very confused!
