Until 1954 the Crimea was part of the Russia and has a majority Russian population. But as far as I'm concerned they are breaking all international law if they invade & take over this part of the Ukraine. It must be done buy the ballot box!

The Russian government has started issuing Russian passports to ethnic Russians in Crimea as well as members of the Ukrainian security forces. This is a rather insidious trick which Putin has resorted to before in the border skirmish a fee years ago with Georgia in an attempt to justify the possible invasion of part(s) of the country, claiming that the 'protection of ethnic Russians' as their reason and justification for doing so.

how is it bullshit they came in took over parts of the country and nobody did anything, like what is the point of the UN and NATO and now they will do the same with the ukraine ,they way they are going any country with a hint of russian ethnicity are they just going to invade them ?, the cold war is over they are not the soviet union anymore
