Squad for the friendly against Serbia just announced. A lot of talk in the last week about possible recalls for Shay Given and Stephen Ireland - didn't happen. Only surprise is a recall for Daryll Murphy and no place for young Jeff Hendrick. Robbie Keane sitting this one out.

I wonder did stephen ireland get his head sorted out yet, as he was a bit of a loose cannon. I wouldn't have him back, but maybe everyone deserves a second chance. And if o neill and roy want him back for future squads then who am i to judge.

If we were in a position to pick and choose from 20 odd players playing at that level then I'd probably think the same but unfortunately we aren't. On the other hand players have to want to play for their country too

Long should have buried that chance when it was 1-1. Looked good first half but were absolute poison in the 2nd. Hope MON settles on a back 4 soon - preferably with Wilson at LB
