Dont take this the wrong way or anything, but you just gave more info in this post right here than an answer to a q "are you busy"?. This isnt an attack on you but it just goes to show how stupid anyone who gets offended by such a simple q actually is.

i was refering to the condom story only

the are you busy or how many you seen if i get on the phone ill hang up most of the time, thinking attempted robbery etc

but in a booking, ill ignore it nd change the subject or make a joke it said mostly out nerves prob, nd sometimes out of rudeness

but never be rude to a rude person, its much funnier to be over nice

I never would , because I feel it's crossing boundaries .

I will never ask someone if they're married , have a girlfriend , what their job is , where they live etc.

It's none of my business and I don't need to , don't want to know . Especially on a first meet ?? I am shocked !

I have clients whom I see once/twice a month for a year or two , and know nothing about their lives beyond

the most superficial . I know they are nice while with me , I know they are good to me in our meets ,

I know they are reliable good pleasant clients , and that is ALL I need to know .


At the same time , I also have clients who open up about their lives and share more details .

That is up to them , but I would never ask and pry . I am there to listen and even counsel .

Many a good 'friendships' have come about that way , but it is the client who would initiate

conversation about his life , not me x




Please do not bunch me with others , whose professional standards do not meet mine x

I have a regular i know for over two years seen him million times, know a bit about each others life, he was telling me a story about Christmas and told his name, asked me did you know I'm called xy?! I was like no, i know your last three digits of your ph number its enough for me to know its you
Just an example that I'm not interested in anyones personal life....

This job makes few of us paranoid, which id say is normal, so 'are you busy' question makes me wonder all the time what is the persons real intention?

Asking once during the appointment fine, i use to it but 3-4 times??!!

Some people just have conversations ya know. What do you want people to say when they are starting a conversation? Express x in terms of y? Talk about the black hole or Pythagoras theorem?

It's different >> a stranger coming into the house and asking "how many guys" or even "are you busy" ,

but different if it's a long term client chatting . As in they know I travel a lot , they know when I'm in town

I'm difficult to book , so I guess "how you've been ? You been busy?" in that context would be a harmless

part of banter .. I guess .. it's all about context and the 'how' of the question being posed . In the latter scenario

I know they are not asking about how many clients I had , and I know they are not prying .
