Thread: What's with "how many guys you had today"

  1. Default What's with "how many guys you had today"

Many guys ask this during appointment, while it's probably just curious talking, I don't feel comfortable when I hear this. There's something about it makes me feel offended, don't know why, maybe I shouldn't feel offended as it might be just harmless question.

So guys, why do you ask this? And girls, do you feel funny about this question too or is it just me?

It would be better if they said are you busy today? How many guys you had today sounds derogatory.

Not a question I would want to know the answer to just before being with a girl.
Questions like this are best ignored and only asked by idiots anyway.

While I understand why this sort of questions can be perceived as offensive, meddling and personal , I suspect this in most cases has more to to with casual conversation than anything else, a bit like how are you today? or how is business in these times of economic hardship, are you prospering?
Theses are routine questions asked in almost any line of work when you meet someone in a professional setting or not and nobody gets offended.
But as I said above this can be seen as nosy and insensitive, and I totally understand it, but I doubt the majority means to embarrass or offend anyone.

Would not dream of asking that. Might indulge in some chit chat after and perhaps if the lady is on tour, ask has it been a good stay which covers has she been busy but also have the clients been polite and clean, has she seen any of the area and shops etc.

Id suspect its a question that 99% of the time is asked due to nerves or a guy feeling a bit on edge.
I wouldn't expect a regular client to ask this but that said...I think its a disgusting question for anyone to ask

    But as I
the guy was ignorant. It was meant as just general chat like are you busy. Its just worded badly thats all.

Hmmm I don't think it's a question that I'd actually want to know the answer too.. I'd say it's a nervousness conversation maker myself...
