I see your point and can't disagree. Still though, a person with unwarranted expectations is just that, regardless of where they got their expectations from. It doesn't have to be a normally forceful person to suddenly decide they are going to take what they think they have been guaranteed. Most peoples brains go right out the window when sex is involved. At least that's my understanding

Edit: I'm not saying most people will behave like that. But given a big enough group I'm sure the stats would speak for themselves.

you cant police the world for everyone just the masses, the minority pay for their crimes, or at least most do. justice and democracy and boom bust cycles are not 100% fair either, but they are the best systems we have so far so until someone comes up with a fool proof way of dealing with those things those things I just said they remain the current way of doing things and people [the minority] will continue to fall through the cracks

And I can certainly agree with that. However we've strayed from the original point, are there legitimate concerns or is it as you say paranoia?

Us debating what is or is not fitting punishment might be irrelevant if the horse has already bolted.
