It's not accurate IMO, There was a program on about E-I maybe a year before that and that figure previously being a few hundred shot up to over 700 after it if I recall but that was a gradual build up, I was online and you could see the figure going up and up as more people joined the site.
With this current figure it was 700 + one evening, next morning it was 1200+, maybe they rolled out an update and now that figure incorporates people looking at escort profiles and this forum where previously it was just this forum..

It would be hard to imagine 1200+ online these days even if there was a program on tv
