I remember Christopher Reeves too - the only Superman bucked by Irony.

I will not fly my purple flag at this moment.

I hope Schumacher pulls through, I really do - x

I don’t remember Christopher Reeve, way before my time but watched his Superman films and read up on him and this guy was a real life superman, his life story is a sad one, he really did come through hell this guy.
I know I wouldn't be able to do it.
What make things even sadder was his wife that stood by him through thick and thin died from cancer at only 44 years old, two years after he died.
Life is so precious and money is no real substitute for your health, nothing is, is it.
Lets hope Michael Schumacher pulls through and makes a full recovery.

Sad indeed, but since then media is full with stories about great sportsmen who recovered after such an accident!

ps: I'm skiing since I'm five or six, and anyone who's planning to try helmet is a must, not mainly because of yourself but others, who might not be very cautious!!

"Mercedes will unveil their new vehicle tomorrow and on it will be a special message to the legend who remains in a coma following his skiing accident in the French Alps. The new car will carry a #KeepFightingMichael message.

There is still no date set to bring him out of his coma.

Schumacher was airlifted to hospital immediately after the accident and it was feared he would not last the night.

But the longer the coma is induced the bleaker the chances become. Schumacher is now entering a fourth week.

Each day, the conference heard, presented other health risks and It was the fear of a brain haemorrhage, if he is awoken, which has made his medical team keep him under.

Even if he wakes up, his memory could be “wiped out.”

Some experts went even further, speculating he might be in a permanent vegetative state for the rest of his life."

Whole business hangs a dark cloud over the build up to the season. I wish him and his family well.
