Thanks Sam. As a client I would definitely like to engage with the appropriate authorities (ie. the Gardai) should I ever come across any girl I feel is coerced or that may have been trafficked.
However, it will have to be in some totally anonymous forum, given the ongoing saga of the proposed criminalization of clients. Clearly if escort clients are criminalized, I would stay as far clear from the authorities.
The problem with total anonymization (if indeed possible?), is that it will, be open to abuse from competing agencies or escorts or even unhappy clients trying to sabotage some escorts business.
Of course it goes without saying I would not want to have any involvement with Ruhama or any other similar group given their well aired views on clients.
This is an important topic Sam, and I would love to hear more on how the ugly mugs platform works. My understanding is that it was for escorts to report abusive clients? I didn't realise that they extend their umbrella to allow clients to report suspected coercion or trafficking.
When this sticky has run it's course could you kindly move it to the Sex work and Media section so that the discussions and suggestions can continue. Thanks.
